On 15.10.2019, we participated in another industry conference - Tricity Green Building Day. The goal of the event was to provide an avenue for the exchange of knowledge and experience between the participants of the investment process and to draw attention to the benefits of sustainable construction, both for investors, future users and all users of the agglomeration.
Our CTO, Beata Dziedzic, also gave a presentation. The message of her speech is clear - plants are our ally in the fight against the negative effects of urbanisation. Live vegetation is the basic way to implement the principles of biophilic design in office spaces. It is a key factor that cannot be ignored or replaced by any other indirect solution. The right approach to design and systemic plant solutions supported by technology will help in the optimal implementation of plants in working spaces. Vegetation must be as close as possible to the humans; then its positive impact will be most noticeable. As part of the lecture, Beata presented the results of a study conducted by the Polish Association of Ecological Building PLGBC and the Silesian University of Technology, commissioned by our company*.
*The research was carried out within the project “Innovative furniture system for commercial spaces with a built-in vertical garden system”. The project is co-financed by the European Union with funds from the European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme Smart Growth 2014-2020.
